SEPARATE STRINGS MOVIE DEMOS 2005 - 2024

The magic in recording and playing separate strings…

Re-amping a GR-55 with a mini Breakout Cable.

90% of Roland GR-55's PCM Tones are wasted, due to poor tracking and false triggering.  Playing simple string pads at the gig works ok, although playing an articulated GR-55 piano patch is almost impossible.  In serious recording the problem is magnified tenfold, as critical performance and listening is paramount - you have to live with the track, for the rest of your life :-(

A simple solution is the use of a GK mini breakout cable, or a dedicated GKP-1/2 breakout box.

The possibilities are endless, and  taking 100% control over separate strings is a must.

3D BINAURAL GUITARS WITH SEPARATE STRINGS 2012.

Headphones on for a full binaural experience.

The big question is, does it sound like 'real-life' 3D?  In short, the answer is yes and no.  You certainly have a sense of width, depth, and with a 'moving' automated string, there's definitely a perception of 3D.

ROLAND GR-55 AS A SOUND MODULE 2014.

It would be great to use the Roland GR-55 as a sound module via MIDI. It seems the only way is with re-amping separate strings. Dreadful tune and some useful GR-55 patches btw.

GK MINI BREAKOUT CABLE & POLY DISTORTION 2018.

A 13-Pin mini breakout cable is an affordable GK Hex equivalent breakout box and cable set in a single package. The movie features six Auto-Tune guitar plugins, Hex Poly-Distortion, & -12 Octave Pitch-Shifting plugin effects.

A DAW software sequencer has endless possibilities.
